Signing off until after the election
Gita and I are signing off our blogs for the month of April as the PPN is subject to the 6 week pre-election 'purdah' conditions. During this time publicly funded bodies and their employees are not allowed to use social media or any communication that may influence the election.
The website with information and registration about forthcoming events will still be available and we'll be using the time to do a bit of spring house keeping and developing our 2015-16 work plan.
I sign off this blog encouraged that since the publication of the NHS Plan and the National Service Framework for Mental Health in 2000 (...yes it's that long ago!) psychological care for people with mental health conditions, the relationship between physical and mental health, and the importance of the psychological wellbeing of the population has been bought into day to day discussion. But there's still a long way to go.
We're looking forward to the next stage of the journey in taking Parity of Esteem for psychological approaches even further forward in the North West of England and making No Heath Without Mental Health a reality, and we hope you'll continue to join us on it.
