On behalf of Professor Jo Hart and Dr Lucie Byrne-Davis, both health psychologists and academics from The University of Manchester.

We would really appreciate your participation in helping us understand more about your experiences of engaging with health psychologists. A recent history of health psychology in the UK found that health psychology had yet to become a mainstream health profession, despite evidence that the competencies of health psychologists would be useful in a variety of health settings.
We are carrying out an interview study with people, like yourself, who employ, line manage or commission health professionals or who are involved in health workforce planning, to try to understand the barriers and facilitators to engaging with health psychology and health psychologists. This will be conducted by phone, zoom or teams, by Panayiotis Michael or Rachel Hawkins, researchers carrying out this project. You would be asked to take part in one interview.
We very much hope that you will agree to help us in this important endeavour. A participant information sheet is attached to provide more information. And a consent form is attached for your information.

If you want to participate, please emailThis email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.and we will be in touch to arrange a suitable time for the interview. At the start of the interview we would complete the consent form together, after you have had a chance to ask any questions.

If you have any questions now about the study please contact Lucie Byrne-Davis [This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.] in the first instance.

Many thanks
