The PPN NW is delighted to invite you to our newly formed ‘New & Emerging Roles Forum’. Our first meeting takes place on Thursday 29th April , 09:30-11:30.
The aim of the forum is for Psychological Professionals and stakeholders with an interest workforce development and the contribution of new roles, to:
- Receive updates, share intelligence and best practice on new and emerging roles across the NW and other regions.
- Provide a forum within which CPPOs and PP workforce leads can develop an understanding of new and emerging roles within the PPS and consider how these relate to strategic workforce planning without their own organisations
- Facilitate conversation with national influencers, decision makers & professional bodies on issues of workforce development, including opportunities for strengthening accreditation and regulation of new and emerging roles.
For our first meeting we are pleased to welcome guest presenter Dr Adrian Whittington who is the National Lead for Psychological Professions, NHSE/I and HEE, IAPT National Clinical Advisor: Education and will join us to explain the role of the National Psychological Stakeholder Group and it’s work in the development of governance processes for new roles in the Psychological Professions.
