Reviewing the DCP and the BPS – what we do well, what we can do better, and what is needed to do it

In May 2016 a resolution was passed at the DCP Special General Meeting which required that the views of members be consulted on the structure of the BPS and DCP, and on how the DCP represents clinical psychology to various groups, including government, commissioners and employers, with a view to improving this if needed.

Domestic Violence and Adult Safeguarding

This timely conference will focus on domestic violence and safeguarding. Sessions will focus on early identification, preventing repeat victimisation, the safeguarding role in assessing and managing the risk of domestic abuse on vulnerable adults with care and support needs, working in partnership with the police, perpetrator programmes, new and emerging integrated models, the safeguarding role within MARAC, learning from domestic homicide reviews and information sharing and governance around domestic violence cases. The conference is aimed at all members of the multi agency domestic violence safeguarding team.
