- Tuesday, 11 October 2016
‘Introduction to Supervision’ is the latest course to be advertised by the Psychological Training Academy (LUPTA), which was established last year at Lancaster University and is run within the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme there. The course is aimed at staff from a range of backgrounds (including people with no psychology training) who wish to develop their understanding and skills in supervising others – either because they supervise currently, or plan to do so in future in their role. As an introductory course, it is intended for staff with no prior formal training in this area (and isn’t intended for clinical psychologists looking to supervise trainees). It balances consideration of theories around and functions of supervision with development of useful skills and techniques.
